Senior Lead UX Designer

Working for one of the world's leading FS brands we are looking for a talented lead user experience designer to join our growing team in London.

The Lead UX Designer must have a passion for creating engaging digital experiences. The ideal candidate should have an expert eye for world leading Mobile UX/UI design, possess expert UX/UI skills and be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces. Designing for Financial services experience a plus but not essential.

  • Create best in class designs that are both intuitive and simple
  • Transform objective into innovative solutions that support user’s needs across all relevant platforms
  • Develop product features that are functional and in line with natural human behaviour


  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards
  • Develop thought leadership in product design through project work, trend tracking, and industry participation, participate in Stand ups and lead product demos to wider business groups
  • Working within an integrated client team environment with multi-disciplinary collaboration
  • Executing all Sketch, wireframe visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to integration working with animators, designers, and developers together
  • Review user adoption of deliverables and acceptance testing

You must have

  • At least 7 years experience as a key member of a UX design team participating in the development of successfully launched global consumer/brand websites, applications and or products
  • Mobile UX design experience essential
  • Experience managing a design team at a senior level and overseeing a project end to end
  • Excellent skills producing Wireframe and visual design comps, cuts and guides, and full-fledged design UI style guides
  • Fluent in responsive design, mobile/tablet UX/UI
  • Obsessed with world-class user-centered design practices and have an eye for detail
  • Passionate about understanding (and keeping the team and clients informed about) current and emerging UX/UI trends
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage priorities
  • Demonstrated proficiency/experience using HTML/CSS, Javascript, agile/ IOS/Android native functionality methodologies and scrum
  • Detailed knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch, Axure, Zeppelin

Senior UX Designer

Splendid Unlimited are a leading UX agency based in London, and part of the multi-disciplinary Unlimited Group. We are looking for a forward thinking, dynamic Senior UX to work with a fantastic team across a broad spread of clients and sectors. You’ll be based in our vibrant Soho office, surrounded by 5 floors of excellent creativity, with a subsidised canteen/bar.

The successful candidate will be working as part of our team utilising (and informing) a Human Centred Design process to deliver brilliant user experience.

Day to day, they will be responsible for production and delivery of all user journeys, wire frames, high and low fidelity prototypes for client review, client sign off, user testing, strategic documentation and hand over to technical build.

You will have

  • 5+ years relevant experience and will hold a relevant degree
  • A good understanding of front end development and visual design, and will work closely with development and design teams to ensure successful communication of ideas and concepts
  • Power user of relevant wire framing and prototyping tools
  • Comfortable having an active role in workshops, confident and client facing

UI designer

Splendid are looking for a talented and passionate UI designer to join our growing team of digital experts. The role is for candidates with an eye for detail, able to produce precise and considered design approaches. We are seeking those who can also think broadly about interaction design, working individually or as part of a larger team.

The UI designer brings the project to life, via compelling visual narratives and design patterns that are aligned to design and user experience principles. Must be willing to assist in all phases of a project from initial pitches through to final production. The position requires a high level of motivation, keeping up to date with the latest trends and opportunities to learn new skills and improve workflow. An eye for detail, typography and a love of design craft is essential to fulfilling what is a key role within Splendid Unlimited.


  • Proven 2-3 years of experience in digital design
  • An exceptional on-line portfolio showcasing effective design solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to design, develop and iterate elegant design systems
  • A good understanding of what types of experiences are made possible by digital technologies
  • Able to collaborate actively as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the creation of best-in-class user experience
  • In possession of excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be organised and able to switch rapidly between different projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Can work with grace under pressure

The Role

  • Report directly to the creative lead on a particular project, able to take direction
  • Works with the departmental leads to ensure that various aspects of design work meet both Splendid and clients’ expectations
  • Can work well within a creative team that may include UX designers and developers as well as staff from other organisations
  • Participates constructively in inter-department communications
  • Consider the broader implications of interaction design i.e. think beyond photoshop
  • Create design executions that are in support of user centred design principles
  • Execute top quality design work as necessary in alignment with the agency’s standards
  • Production of visual design files for asset cutup into many screen based technologies
  • Participate in brainstorms and workshops
  • Competitor visual research / analysis
  • Provide assistance to the UX department to facilitate the design process
  • Ability to use information architect skills, under UX guidance
  • Ability to follow HTML wireframes
  • QA visual design during build / deployment
  • Develops oneself by actively seeking and reviewing new software / workflows / design trends
  • Develop drawing / scamping skills
  • Be active across social media channels and help publicise Splendid


  • Good communication skills within the Splendid team and with clients
  • Passionate about learning new skills and software
  • Able to produce exceptional visual design work
  • An appreciation of HTML and current, emerging technologies, capabilities of web browsers
  • Photoshop and Illustrator image manipulation (other software knowledge a bonus)
  • Encompass knowledge of animation and motion design as well as visual / interactive / motion design trends
  • Solid foundation in typography, layout, and general design
  • Deep understanding of digital tools, trends, and foundation
  • Oral, written skills required and ability to rationalise work
  • Ability to function independently and in a team environment
  • Passionate about design
